Shot on locations in West Africa, including the Sahara desert, The Dead follows an American mercenary - the sole survivor of a plane crash during an emergency evacuation, as he struggles to survive a journey across the terrains of Africa battling with the living dead.  Joining forces with a local military man, desperately searching for his son amidst the chaos - they fight to survive.
