The Dead The Dead (2010)

Music for the feature film The Dead starring Rob Freeman (Saving Private Ryan, Smallville), Prince David Osei & David Dontoh.  Directed by Howard & Jonathan Ford.  (In post-production)

"Shot on locations in West Africa, including the Sahara desert, 'The Dead' follows an American mercenary - the sole survivor of a plane crash during an emergency evacuation, as he struggles to survive a journey across the terrains of Africa battling with the living dead.  Joining forces with a local military man, desperately searching for his son amidst the chaos - they fight to survive."

The Dead will screen at the Cannes Film Festival, Frightfest and FantasticFest in 2010.

To Unwill A Heart (2010)

Music for the short film To Unwill A Heart starring Rami Hilmi.  Directed by Gela JenssenThis film has been officially selected for the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010.

"Syria, 946 A.D. After his escape from prison over allegations of deflowering the beautiful Princess Josian, the English knight Bevois of Hampton finds himself on the run from the Syrian king's henchmen as well as from a harrowing past that is catching up with him with just as unforgiving force."

Music for the short film Lingering starring Eisha Karol.  Directed by A. R. Madabushi.  This film will premiere at The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, London on 2nd April 2009.

Oxfam - Sisters on the Planet
Oxfam - Sisters On The Planet (2008)

Music for Oxfam short films about vulnerable communities around the world that are affected by climate change.
 
The films premiered on 11th June 2008 at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, London. For more information please visit Sisters On The Planet
 
In November 2008, the films were viewed by US Governors including Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and also by President-elect Barack Obama at the Governors' Global Climate Summit in Los Angeles.  The films were shown by Oxfam America's VP for Policy and Communications (click here).
 
"Climate change is already having a disproportionate impact on people in developing countries, and it’s hitting women hardest. It’s not the easiest idea to understand, so to help explain we’ve made these short films about women, in both rich and poor countries, who are determined to do whatever they can to put a stop to climate change - Oxfam GB".
 

 
 

 
 
Imagine Festival of the Arts  
Imagine Festival of the Arts (2008)

Performed live at the opening of the Imagine Festival of the Arts 2008 in the London Borough of Sutton. Leading up to this event, Imran was commissioned to work in Sutton's Taking Part project which is aimed to encourage and inspire individuals to participate in the arts. Taking Part engaged 20 groups across Sutton's communities, many of whom have had little or no regular access to the arts.

Imran, along with Indian Classical singer, Chandra Chakraborty, worked with one group in a number of music sessions which concluded in a public music recital and the opening to the Imagine Festival."

"In 2007 Scarlett Johannson travelled to Sri Lanka and India to meet young girls who have a chance to go to school against great prejudice and poverty, and she also met families affected by the Tsunami on the coastline of southern Sri Lanka."
